The rice pass through a DNA test to ensure that it is inbred rice, identifiable by the long, narrow white, transparent appearance and strong grains with not much chalky kernels. The rice, when cooked, is aromatic and fluffy in texture.

Between mid-October to end-February, the temperatures range from 13 to 25 degrees Celsius where it is suited for planting short-grain rice. Royal Umbrella Short Grain Rice makes perfect option for sushi rice, onigiri, or anything that involves the molding of the rice. The rice is incredibly soft and fluffy.
